Your voice stays on your Mac.
Most dictation apps send your voice to their servers. Talk2me does the work on your Mac's own chip. We never receive your voice, your words or your files. So we can't train on them, sell them or leak them.
No account. No tracking.
No sign-up, no user ID, no ads, no analytics. The app sends us nothing about you.

Your words are not our product. We never see them, so they can't end up in anyone's AI model.

Talk2me is designed and built in Canada by a small, independent team. We think privacy is a right, not a premium feature. So we built an app that needs as little trust as possible: the safest data is data we never get.
If you use Proton, Signal or a no-logs VPN, you already know the rule. Talk2me follows it too.
This website, too
We don't watch you here either.
- No analytics. No pixels, no heatmaps, no session replays.
- No third parties. Every script and font comes from this site. Nothing from Google, nothing from ad networks.
- No cookies until you unlock a download. Then one: it says "unlocked" and nothing else.
- Your email only if you ask. We keep it to send your invite. Remove it yourself, any time, below.

Is it really private?
Yes. With a voice model on your Mac (the default choice), your audio is turned into text on your Mac and never leaves it. Talk2me has no account and collects nothing about you. If you pick a cloud engine instead, your audio goes straight from your Mac to that provider, with your own key, and Settings tags that route so you always know.
Does it need the internet?
Only to download the app and, once, the voice model. After that, dictation on your Mac works offline. Talk2me also checks for updates by asking for one small signed file. That request carries nothing about you, and nothing installs until you press Update now.
Which Macs does it run on?
A Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or later) and macOS 13 or later. The fastest voice model runs on the GPU and needs macOS 14 and 16 GB of memory. Other Macs use a smaller model on the processor.
What does it cost?
Nothing during the private beta.
Why does macOS warn me when I first open it?
This beta is not yet notarized by Apple. macOS asks you to confirm once: open System Settings, then Privacy & Security, and click Open Anyway. The download page walks you through it.
